Hussein Dickie of performs pieces of his own guitar compositions, plus selections from some of his favourite contemporary classical and film composers. This promotional video was recorded live in Puebla, Mexico on 15 August 2014.

What I try to do when writing music for someone is to try to get a sense of their nature and to see how that translates into the music – I tried that with Edward’s piece, and it turned out to be a type of tango and slightly humourous as well.
I do contemporary music and try to choose film tunes because in film music today one gets the best compositions. I mix the film themes with contemporary composers’ work, for example José Maria Gallardo del Rey – he wrote the ‘California Suite’ – and I play the Prelude from this work.
Ennio Morricone wrote the theme music for ‘Cinema Paradiso’ – I play ‘Gabriel’s Oboe’ from his score for ‘The Mission’.
