Granary Arts Centre

granary-arts-centreA new Arts Centre has been launched at Brockwood, SO24 0LQ, between Bramdean and West Meon.
Leading the venture is Winchester artist and art teacher Kezia Hoffman. Kezia has been working with the Wessex Sculpture Group in Brockwood for 4 years and since October has been teaching A-level Art at Brockwood Park School.

It has been a dream of mine to find somewhere to turn into an arts centre and when the Granary at Brockwood came available for rent I knew it was the perfect venue. The Granary is surrounded by creative and interesting projects in a picturesque building and setting. Essentially the space will be used as an ‘alternative art school’ and exhibition venue exploring themes that celebrate the Artisan and the Artist. There will be a focus on teaching traditional skills and crafts such as green wood work, basketry, life drawing, carving, portraiture, weaving but the exhibitions will lean into the contemporary and experimental. I see this as a collaborative project and am inviting local creatives to get involved — KH

The Granary Creative Arts Centre will be open to the public to view exhibitions/crafts and enjoy a coffee on Saturdays (after Easter). All other days must be booked in advance.
